Wedding fireworks FAQs
How much do wedding fireworks cost?
Professional wedding displays start at £795, and most couples spend between £1,300 and £2,000. Pyromusicals start at £1,995, which includes the PA system and your first music track. We design every show around your budget rather than selling fixed packages.
How long should a wedding fireworks display last?
Shorter and more intense beats long and slow. Most of our wedding shows run for 4 to 8 minutes of continuous, fast-paced fireworks. That is long enough to feel spectacular and short enough that every second counts. Three minutes of intense fireworks beats fifteen minutes of single rockets going up one at a time.
How much space does the venue need?
We need a firing area at least 50 metres from your guests, roads, car parks and buildings, and further for bigger fireworks. Most country house lawns, golf courses and marquee sites have plenty of room. We carry out a full site survey and risk assessment, and we only use fireworks that suit the space available.
Will our venue allow fireworks?
Most venues with grounds say yes to professional companies, and many of the venues we work with rebook us year after year. We handle the conversation for you: risk assessments, insurance documents, site plans and any noise or curfew conditions. If your venue is hesitant, a low-noise display often wins them over.
What time should the fireworks happen?
The display needs full darkness, and most venues have a curfew of 10pm or 11pm. In summer that usually means a late evening finale after the first dance. In autumn and winter you can fire as early as 5pm or 6pm. We'll help you pick the right moment in your running order.
Can we set the fireworks off ourselves?
You can start them. We hand you a wireless remote so the two of you can trigger the opening of your own display safely from beside your guests, and our crew and computer firing system take it from there.
Can the fireworks be choreographed to our song?
Yes, that's our speciality. A pyromusical is a display fired by computer to the millisecond, perfectly in step with your chosen music. Many couples pick their first dance track, so the song that opened the evening also ends it.
What about noise? We have neighbours and animals nearby.
We offer low-noise displays that swap the big bangs for visual effects such as comets, mines and crossettes, with no loud salutes. They're not completely silent, but they are dramatically quieter, and they're often the difference between a venue saying no and saying yes.
What happens if it rains?
Fireworks fire well in rain, and wet lawns reflect the colours beautifully. The only weather that can stop a show is dangerously strong wind blowing towards guests. If conditions are unsafe we work with you and the venue on timing rather than simply cancelling.
Can the display be a surprise for our guests?
Usually, yes. Our crew arrives early and sets up away from the celebration, so at most venues the first your guests know of it is the opening burst. Tell us it's a surprise and we'll plan the setup around it.
Do you clear up afterwards?
Yes. We clear the firing site the same night or first thing the next morning, whichever the venue prefers. It's one of the reasons venues keep inviting us back.
How far ahead should we book?
Peak summer Saturdays and New Year's Eve go earliest, so 9 to 12 months ahead is ideal for those dates. If your date is closer, still ask. We can often take on weddings at a few weeks' notice.
